Corriveau
The self-proclaimed "Lord of the Pink Castle" hardly strikes a note of fear when one says speaks his title aloud. His identity is elusive - the masquerade mask he dons, and the name "Corriveau" which appears to be some sort of moniker lend to secrecy, but his expressions seem to be surprisingly welcoming.Corriveau possesses a certain degree of sophistication in his speech, even if occasionally broken by crude humor. He is tall - more than a head above most men, suggesting that he is a high elf, if it is not made abundantly clear in how he speaks, for he reeks of pomp.
I. ~ Apraxic
"This one is easy enough to surmise. Why else would a haughty elf associate with his lessers? Most of them would rather die than be parted with the paradise they call Summerset. Despite this mer conducting himself as a fun-loving free-thinker, he certainly seems to pick-and-choose from altmeri rhetoric in his beliefs. I don't know why he left Summerset - each time he says he was exiled, he tells some joke about being 'too handsome' for the Thalmor's tastes."
II. ~ Alchemist
"This is another finding that is plain-as-day. Corriveau runs an alchemy business - he has done so for at least the past hundred years, selling product in bulk to merchants, local guards and other organizations across High Rock. It's fitting enough; he seems a scientific mind, and has an eye for it. He deals in medicinals, primarily - and based on how lavishly he lives, it would seem that he is rather successful."
III. ~ Wizard
"Elves, alchemists - it comes hand-in-hand. On the hip-holster of his obnoxiously-colorful robes, he possesses an elven saber of impressive make, but it almost seems for show. I would have to guess that his real power comes from his magical prowess; altmer alone are known for it, but with a practitioner as old as this, I can bet he knows more than a few tricks. On the surface, there's nothing terribly amiss - seems to have a particular penchant for alteration, but he could talk all day about magical theory or whatever else."
I V. ~ High Rock Libertines
"He advertises it as a sort-of free thinkers' club, a political group that simply meets over dinners and soirees to discuss current events that effect life in High Rock. The ones who are in the club claim that it is a place bereft of judgment, where their views can be expressed without the oppression of kings or the clergy. Critics claim that when these so-called 'meetings' happen, they can hear people howling, lending themselves to believe that the High Rock Libertines are nothing but a glorified orgy-and-dinner club where patrons engorge themselves on pleasures of the flesh with a side of fine wine - and some state that this 'free thinking' is a slippery slope to rubbing elbows with daedra."
V. ~ Le Château Rose
"It's called 'The Pink Castle' in Tamrielic. It doesn't sound menacing at all - not that I think it's supposed to; Corriveau seems to prefer that of the quill over the sword, in general. Regardless, it isn't much of a castle, either. It is a manor, located in Stormhaven, on the Illiac Bay. It has a good degree of seclusion - nice-looking place, from the outside, but I haven't had a good look on the inside. Seems he's got wealth - and given the scale of his alchemy business, it seems legitimate. None of this is hardly criminalizing, but the strange bit is that it used to belong to an old Lord of Stormhaven that was big on torture, known for throwing disobedient subjects into a dungeon."
V I. ~ The Cookbook
"He calls it 'The Cookbook'. It's not just a book of spells, as he calls it, to recall on them from memory. It's a tome - I suspect of illicit proportions. The cover of his book is a sort-of deep red, suede - with strange motifs written along. He is never seen without it - a jumbled-up collection of haphazard pages kept in a pretty, though odd-looking book - but it looks a bit different each time I observe it."
Writer
Author's Note:I hope you've enjoyed reading this carrd as much as I've enjoyed writing it!I feel a disclaimer is in order, due to the themes associated with Corriveau's character. As with all of my RP, there is an 18+ age requirement for both characters and players. He is NOT a good-aligned character. His values also do not align with my own - at all! Some parts of the carrd are kept intentionally vague - I aimed to have information presented from another character's perspective, so not all information on the character will be available here, so as to keep things mysterious.I love player-character conflict. While Corriveau is my quintessential powerful villain type, I encourage it, with hopes that players & characters will win him over or thwart his evil plans. I also love themes of drama & intrigue, things to do with horror and the occult.
Thank you for reading!
